Great value Advance tickets

I grabbed an Advance Train Ticket from Cardiff to Llandudno last month and it was brilliant! The price was so good, way cheaper than I expected. The journey itself was smooth, and I even got a seat reservation which made it super easy. I'm definitely going to check their site first for all my future train travel. Will recommend to all my friends!

Smooth booking and travel

I recently booked an Off-Peak Ticket from Swansea to Manchester Piccadilly for a weekend trip. The ordering process on their website was straightforward; I used my 16-25 Railcard, and the discount applied automatically, which was nice. I opted for a mobile ticket, which worked perfectly when scanned at the gate. The train itself was clean, and my seat reservation was honored. We had a slight delay nearing Manchester, about 15 minutes, but the journey overall was comfortable. Customer support was not needed, but the whole experience felt well-managed. Good option for intercity travel.

Ticket worked, journey fine

Bought an Anytime Ticket from Cardiff to Bristol Temple Meads. Used their website, printed it at home. Train was on time. No issues at all.

Easy to use app

Used the app to get a ticket from Newport to Holyhead the other week. It was pretty easy to figure out, just picked my times and paid. My Mobile Ticket popped right up, no faffing about with printing. The train was on time, which is always good, and I managed to get a window seat without a reservation. Just a simple trip, no drama. Felt pretty chill.

Good savings with Flexi Season

As a first-time buyer, I was really trying to find the best deal for my commute. I ended up getting a Flexi Season Ticket for my journey from Wrexham to Chester, and it saved me a decent amount compared to buying individual Anytime Tickets. The flexibility is great because I don't go into the office every day. I also checked out the prices for a Monthly Season Ticket, but the Flexi option worked better for my schedule and wallet. It felt like a smart purchase, definitely worth looking into if you don't travel constantly.

Hey, thinking of heading to Cardiff from Llandudno. How reliable are these trains usually? Don't want to get stuck.

From my experience, they're pretty good. I travel that route for work sometimes and delays are usually minor if they happen at all. Check real-time updates though, especially on busy days.

Yeah, I've used them a bunch up and down the coast. Most of the time it's fine. Christmas was a bit hectic last year but that's expected everywhere.

Can I use my 16-25 Railcard with the Flexi Season ticket? Trying to figure out the cheapest way to commute.

D Derek 2 months ago
Nah, pretty sure Railcards don't work with Flexi Season tickets. They're more for individual journey tickets, like Advance or Off-Peak.

That's right, Railcards don't apply to season tickets, including Flexi. You get the discount on single or return fares, but the Flexi is already a discounted bundle.
